Located at the west end of Navy Pier, the Chicago Children's Museum is a multi-story hub of hands-on learning and play. With a wide variety of exhibits designed to spark curiosity, it's a popular destination for families with children of all ages.
A perennial favorite, this exhibit allows kids to don firefighter gear, slide down a child-sized fire pole, and take the wheel of a realistic fire truck. It's a fantastic space for imaginative role-playing.
In this large, open room, budding engineers can design, build, and test their own creations. A highlight is the extensive ramp system where kids can race cars they've built, experimenting with physics in a fun, hands-on way.
Prepare for splashing! This popular water table exhibit lets kids explore the properties of water with pumps, dams, and channels. Kids will get wet, so a change of clothes or a waterproof smock is highly recommended.
