A true Chicago icon, the Field Museum is a passport to the natural world and human history, captivating visitors of all ages. From towering dinosaur skeletons to hands-on play areas, it's a must-do for any Chicago family.

The main hall is dominated by Máximo the Titanosaur, the largest dinosaur ever discovered. But the star of the show for many is SUE the T. rex, the most complete Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton in the world. The entire "Griffin Halls of Evolving Planet" exhibit is a kid's dream, tracing 4 billion years of life on Earth with tons of fossils and dinosaur skeletons.
Located on the Ground Level, the Crown Family PlayLab is a destination in itself. Kids can dig for dinosaur bones, try on animal costumes to explore different habitats, play instruments from around the world, and engage in scientific discovery. It's the perfect place for younger children to learn through play.
